Katie Okawa, AMFT
My therapeutic style is collaborative and deeply relational. I strive to create a space where you can explore the patterns that keep you feeling stuck or disconnected — both within yourself and in your relationships. By bringing awareness and compassion to those inner dynamics, we can begin to soften and expand how you understand yourself and others.
My approach is grounded in the belief that lasting change begins with understanding our inner world. I’ll help you get clarity on the repeated cycles and patterns that continue to show up in your life by understanding where they originated and developing new, more adaptive responses.
Drawing from attachment theory and parts work, our work will be built upon your unique experience and context. Whether you’re navigating a family rupture, a crisis of faith, or a season of loss or transition, I aim to help you make meaning of it and move toward healing with self-compassion.
SPECIALTIES: Family conflict, estranged or no-contact relationships, spiritual deconstruction or crisis, grief and loss, career crisis, marriage dissatisfaction
